One month to go in this year. I joined That Artsy Reader Girl’s Debut Author Challenge for 2015 so any ARCs I do read in December will be non-debut authors since the challenge doesn’t start until January. I can’t believe it’s December(well, with the cold outside I can). One more year of reading goals almost all met and they will be by the end of the year. Time to make some more.
Opposition – Jennifer L Armentrout. 4.5/5 stars. I’ve loved this whole series and the ending did not disappoint. Still sad it’s over but glad to have read it.
A Thousand Pieces of You – Claudia Gray. 4.5/5 stars. Review
The Bane Chronicles – Cassandra Clare. 3.5/5 stars. Lots of great short stories about the life of Magnus Bane. Some were stronger than others. Beware of spoilers if you haven’t read all the other books in the series yet.
The Winner’s Curse – Marie Rutkoski. 3.5/5 stars. I really enjoyed the characters and the plot but it didn’t grab me the way I was hoping. I blame the hype.
The Gathering – Kelley Armstrong. 3/5 stars. Interesting, held my attention, but there wasn’t the urgency to finish the book to know what happens.
Glimmer – Phoebe Kitanidis. 2.5/5 stars. Just really couldn’t connect to the main character so it made it difficult to care about what was happening to her.
The Kiss of Deception – Mary E Pearson. 3/5 stars. Solid beginning, It did feel a little long at times and a bit predictable.
No Place to Fall – Jaye Robin Brown. 4 stars. Review
The Fiery Heart – Richelle Mead. 4/5 stars. Loving this series so much. Almost caught up. Will hopefully be by the end of the year.
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer – Michelle Hodkin. 3.5/5 stars. Really enjoyed the first book. I did find it a little predictable but I’m excited to see where it goes.
Altered – Gennifer Albin. 3/5 stars. It’s an interesting series but it’s not blowing me away. One more book has its chance.
Top Ten Clues You’re Cluesless – Liz Czukas. 3.5/5 stars. Review
Beware the Wild – Natalie C Parker. 3/5 stars. Very cool concept, enjoyed the main character, but felt there was a lack of explanation for the events. Review coming soon.
The Lost Prince – Julie Kagawa. 4/5 stars. Great continuation of a series I loved. Not sure why it took me so long to start it after The Iron Fey.
The Calling – Kelley Armstrong. 3/5 stars. Feelings were the same as The Gathering. Good but didn’t blow me away.
