Another month has passed. November is birthday month(yay more books and maybe a bookshelf because, yeah, need another one of those) and the countdown to Christmas has started. Time to start thinking about the Christmas list and what books to put on it, plus try to get other people’s lists from them and start some shopping.
The Fall – Bethany Griffin. 3.5/5 stars. Very creepy and dark. It made for a really good Halloween-month read. Review to come.
Endlessly – Kirsten White. 3/5 stars. Enjoyed the whole series but it didn’t blow me away.
Lies We Tell Ourselves – Robin Talley. 4/5 stars. Review.
Grave Mercy – Robin LaFevers. 3/5 stars. Solid beginning to the series. It was a little slow at times.
The Offering – Kimberly Derting. 3/5 stars. Another good series that didn’t blow me away. Found it to be a bit predictable but still entertaining.
Asylum – Madeleine Roux. 3.5/5 stars. Creepy. The pictures really added to the story and I really enjoyed the characters interacting with each other. Review to come.
Perfected – Kate Jarvik Birch. 3/5 stars. One of the craziest and disturbing worlds I’ve read. Review to come.
Black Ice – Becca Fitzpatrick. 3/5 stars. Ended up being a bit predictable and flat but the concept was great. Review to come.
The Young Elites – Marie Lu. 4/5 stars. Loved the characters and the world.
Forbidden – Kimberley Griffiths Little. 4/5 stars. Fell in love with this world. Sensual dancing, forbidden romance, dangerous desert.
Lasher – Anne Rice. 2.5/5 stars. A re-read. Thought I might like the series more now that I’m older but so far, no.
Althea and Oliver – Cristina Moracho. 2.5/5 stars. One I was looking forward to but was let down. There were some issues in this book I just couldn’t get passed, which lessened any enjoyment.
Sublime – Christina Lauren. 3/5 stars. Review.
Fragile Eternity – Melissa Marr. 3/5 stars. Love that so many characters get the spotlight in this series but I didn’t feel a strong connection to any of them.
Radiant Shadows – Melissa Marr. 3/5 stars. Same as above.
Darkest Mercy – Melissa Marr. 3/5 stars. And again, see above.
